A native of Phenix City, Alabama, Hugh G. Kendrick is the distinguished founder and visionary behind The Keepsake Company, LLC. His journey in funeral service began in 2007 at his family’s esteemed establishment, Progressive Funeral Home in Columbus, Georgia, where he cultivated a deep understanding of compassionate care and dignified service.
Mr. Kendrick completed his undergraduate studies in Criminal Justice at Alabama State University before further elevating his professional expertise by earning a degree in Mortuary Science and Funeral Service from Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in 2016. This academic foundation, paired with hands-on industry experience, positioned him as a forward-thinking leader in modern memorialization.
With a refined eye for design and a natural gift for event curation, Mr. Kendrick has reimagined the celebration of life experience. His signature aesthetic—marked by sophistication, intentional detail, and timeless elegance—has elevated services for families and funeral homes throughout the Southeast and beyond.
In 2020, inspired by a profound calling to serve families with greater intentionality, he expanded his vision to create deeply personalized, elevated memorial experiences.
